Remote oilfield work camps were severely affected by wildfires near their location. Poor air quality makes living in the facility hazardous to the worker health. Camp evacuations are very costly both from a personnel standpoint and a production standpoint where with evacuation valuable oilfield installations would be shutdown losing millions of dollars.

Smoke an Odor Abatement Solution

Over 140 of the Odorox Boss models were deployed by Environmental Air Cleaning from its Calgary warehouse to the isolated camps.  The units were installed in common areas such as recreational space, kitchens, hallways and dining rooms.

Within an hour the air quality improved dramatically and within four hours there were no noticeable odors in the treated areas allowing the camp residents and oilfield workers to remain on site in a safe, clean, breathable environment. The result was that they did not evacuate the camp and the production output of the Oil field installations was unaffected.

Long Term

Atco, one of the largest camp providers in the world, was instrumental in the development of the HGI Architect model. Work camps in isolated remote areas with highly transitional crews, working long hours and subject to harsh conditions provided the ideal environment to install HGI’S  next generation patented air purification equipment to combat mold, odors and pathogens.
