HGI Case Study – Zabeel Palace – U.A.E.
HGI Industries has created cutting edge ultra violet hydroxyl generating technology which has been at the forefront of high volume odor processing, air-decontamination and air-purification. HGI’s patented technology is the world’s only scientifically proven non-contained Hydroxyl Generator. The ODOROX® products line of non-chemical devices provides an environmentally safe solution.
When the palace representative contacted Odorox InAir M.E. LLC HGI’s representative in the United Arab Emirates regarding odor issues in the palace, an independent test lab was dispatched to conduct third party lab tests within the palace. The lab tested for odor, mildew, VOC’s and air quality.
Odor Abatement Solution
After the lab testing was reviewed it was determined that cooking odors in the kitchen and dining room were the cause of the majority of odor. With a central air circulation system in place it was ascertained that IDU’s were the simplest and most cost effective model to install through the existing infrastructure. Mechanical drawings were obtained and these used to target the most strategic points to install the IDUS in the palace.
The IDU’s were shipped by pallet from HGI’s facility in Boynton Beach to the U.A.E. Once received, an installation schedule was determined and the twelve IDU’s were inserted into the palace’s HVAC. Three were placed in the Sheik’s private office (two in operation and one as a backup system). Four were placed into the main dining room which has a capacity of 80 people. The remaining five were put into the kitchen area. A follow up tests determined that all of the fugitive cooking odors had been eliminated.
With the introduction of the MySpace and Architect to the market these models are now being considered throughout the palace as well.
